Cutest DIY's That Cost Almost Nothing

Who doesn't love a quick Do-It-Yourself tutorial? Here are some of my favorites, as well as how to make them with supplies you probably have around the house!

Fairy Lamps:

One of my favorite DIY's that I have found uses only two main items:

  • Mason Jar

  • Fairy lights (or other battery powered white or yellow light strings)

  • String (optional)

  • Glue (optional)

Instructions:

All you need to do is feed the fairy lights into the jar making sure that the on/off switch is easily accessible. (You could do this by gluing it to the top of the lid). After you have all the string lights safely within the jar, seal the lid and use string or a hook to hang the jar from anywhere you would like. (I also like to use it as a desk decoration) You will than have a pretty and inexpensive decorations that will definitely impress your friends and family.

Chalkboard Frames

This craft also requires very few supplies, and is a fun and classy way to spice up your desk space.

  • Frame (any shape or size will work)

  • Chalkboard paint

  • Chalk

Instructions:

Simply paint the inside of your picture frame with the chalkboard paint, and your will have your own personal message board. Use it to count down the days until Christmas, or remind yourself of the tasks you need to complete that day!

Pine Tree (Trees?)

This adorable little craft is perfect for the upcoming holidays.

  • Pine cones

  • Hot glue gun

  • Paint (white)

  • Beads (various colors)

Instructions:

First you will need to clean your pine cone to clear away any residual dirt or bugs. Here is a link to safely clean your pine cone: https://pin.it/11U4DsE

Once your pine cone is cleaned you can begin with your craft. I like to start by adding a light layer of paint to the outside of the pinecone to resemble snow. Next glue some of the beads around the pine cone to look like little ornaments on your tree. If you feel like it, you can also use some tiny fairy lights to look like Christmas lights. Organize a couple of these pine cones around on your desk for a cute Christmas decoration.
